USAF S/SSgt (Ret.) Clyde W. Buchanan, 91, of Graceville, Florida, passed away Friday, November 13, 2020.
He was born on May 8, 1929 to Oscar Allen Buchanan, Sr. and Maude Sowell Buchanan. He retired from the US Air Force with 24 years of service. Clyde ministered at both Camp Head Assembly of God and Carr Chapel Advent Christian Church, both near Altha, FL.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five siblings, Jake, Eula, Elma, Louise and Betty; and son-in-law Bill Miller.
He is survived by five daughters, Margaret Pinson (Tommy) of Tallahassee, Debra Downing (Ron) of Marianna, Peggy Miller of Graceville, Tammie Pitts (Broward) of Clarksville and Kim Skipper of Clarksville, Virginia; 12 grandchildren, Chris Phillips, Susan Ortiz, John Adkins, Marcia Adkins, Sabrina Wynn, Elijah Kitchen, Kayla Pitts, Laken Harris, Grayson Skipper, Isabella Skipper, Josefina Skipper and Angelina Skipper; 10 great-grandchildren, Ariele Phillips, Blaine Phillips, AIC Alexa Phillips, Joseph Oritz, River Adkins, Jada Kitchen, Easton Pitts, Ranzlie Harris, Koldyn Harris and Weston Skipper; the mother of his children and friend, Annie Buchanan of Tallahassee; two brothers, Oscar Buchanan, Jr. of Chipley, Tim Buchanan of Steel Field, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 10:00 AM, Friday, November 20, 2020 at West Bay Advent Christian Church, 6326 Laird Park Rd, Panama City Beach, FL. 32413. A private interment will be held at a later date with James and Sikes Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM Thursday, November 19, 2020 at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel.
