Mark Skinner | TIMES - Jeremiah Castro takes the ball for Graceville

The Graceville Tigers took their game on the road Friday night as they headed to Freeport only to hand the home team a 40-13 loss.
Senior running back Jeremiah Castro had a banner night, finding the promise land five times to lead the Tigers offensively. The five touchdowns propelled the number-five-ranked-Tigers over the number-four-ranked Freeport.
Freeport checked in with the first score of the game but it was all Graceville after that. Trailing 6-0, the Tigers scored five consecutive times with the first touchdown coming off of a Castro 63-yard run, making it a 6-6 game. Castro wasted no time in finding the endzone for his second touchdown with just two minutes off the clock from the previous one, a short three-yard run. This time a two-point conversion made it a 14-6 game.
Aeneas Myrick returned a blocked punt for 45 yards to set up a 19-yard run touchdown run by Myrick. A second blocked punt was followed by a Castro 35-yard run into the endzone. Castro went home twice more to cement the victory, including a 95-yard run.
The win sends Graceville another step further into the playoffs when they travel to Baker to take on the 9-1 Gators. The fell to Blountstown 33-7 in the SSAC North Florida championship game. One thing is for sure, momentum is on the side of the Tigers.
