Carrie Alynda Bailey


Carrie Alynda Bailey, 47, of Marianna, FL, passed away on Sunday, January 7, 2024. She was born on December 5, 1976, in Vero Beach, FL.

Carrie was a remarkable person who had many accomplishments in her life. She completed her high school education from Marianna High School in 1995. After that, she pursued her passion for becoming a massage therapist and successfully obtained her license from Haney Technical in 2008. Most recently, Carrie was passionate about her work and enjoyed her job as a housekeeper at the Microtel in Marianna, FL. She enjoyed working alongside her colleagues, which she considered some of her best friends. Her hard work and dedication were admired by everyone, and she was always eager to lend a helping hand. 

Apart from her work, Carrie had many other interests. She loved watching football and spending time with her family, especially her only grandson, who she affectionately called “Nugget.” Carrie was a loving mother, sister, and friend who brought joy and happiness into the lives of those around her. Her free spirit, compassionate heart, and love for God will always be remembered by her loved ones. Carrie was a bright light in the lives of many people, and her loss has left a void that cannot be filled. Her memory will forever be cherished by all those who knew her.

Carrie was preceded in death by her son, Zackery Bailey; parents, Charles and Wilma Bailey; and brother, Todd Bailey.

She is survived by her son, Brandon Franklin; three daughters, Cheyanne Franklin, Tiffany Franklin, and Christa Franklin; brother, Jeff Bailey, and wife, Patricia of De Leon, TX; sister, Robin Adams, and husband, Alex of Cottondale; sister Julia Perry of Grandridge; and grandson, Zachari Franklin; nieces and nephews Adrian Adams, Damien Strickland and wife, Nasha, Billy Bailey and wife Deanna, Christopher Saye, Cody Saye, Amber Casey and husband Scott, and a host of other great nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be at 2 P.M. Sunday, January 14, 2024, at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. 

The family will receive friends for a time of visitation one hour before the service at Marianna Chapel Funeral Home. 

Interment will follow in the Alford City Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing. There will be a repass to follow at the Alford Civic Center.
