She was born October 25, 1951 in Peoria, Illinois. One of her greatest joys in life was working. She enjoyed it thoroughly. She worked at Lehigh for 24 years and then worked for the Department of Corrections for 23 years. During her time in Marianna. She made many life long friends in the community.
Her favorite memories were those of her grandkids and co-workers. She enjoyed early mornings watching the redbirds & bluebirds come to her feeder and playing games online with her friends she will be dearly missed.
She is survived by her son, Joshua Kirkland, wife, JeLisa Kirkland; daughter, Lana Ramsey and husband, Kevin; eight grandchildren, Jorgia Rhyanne Kirkland, Jasiah Kirkland, Jaysen Kirkland, Jessica Stever, Nicholas Stever and wife, Victoria, Tishauna Snyder, Cory Ramsey and Emily Ramsey; great-grandchildren, Elaina Stever, Ellie Snyder, Karder Snyder and soon to arrive, Emery Stever.
Funeral services will be Thursday, February 17, 2022 at 2 PM at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel. Visitation will be from 1 until 2PM at James & Sikes Maddox Chapel.
