Mark Skinner | TIMES - Caden Akerson makes a stop for the Bulldogs.

The Marianna Bulldogs soccer team peaked at just the right time, heading into district competition. Last Friday, they traveled to Panama City to take on the Rutherford Rams and a chance to move deeper into the playoffs. No sooner than the opening kickoff was in the air, the Bulldogs let everyone know they only were there for a win and that is exactly what they got. They walked away with a 10-2 victory and another game scheduled for Tuesday.
Bishop Bosland showed why he was Max Preps Player of the Week, notching four goals and three assists. Caden Akerson also put up player of the week stats with three goals and one assist. Jac Clikas notch two goals and one assist, followed by Landon Garcia with one goal. Seth Ham, Izec Isabella and Cole Payne all contributed one assist each in the win.
In the box was Chris Gable for the first half of the game before Blayne Hewett took over for the second half.
The win had the Bulldogs pitted against Bozeman this past Tuesday night. The Times will update their website as soon as results are in from the game.
A win on Tuesday puts them Bulldogs in the championship game on Friday.
