Betty Williams Turner, 94 passed away from this life into her Savior’s arms, June 4, 2022, with her family by her side. She was a longtime resident of Northwest Florida Community Hospital Skilled Nursing Unit.

Betty was born October 22, 1927, to the late William Oates Williams and Alma Underwood Williams. She was a 1946 graduate of Slocomb High School and married the love of her life Loyd Turner in 1948. They both worked in various cotton mills in Alabama and Georgia. In 1969 they moved, along with their daughter Deborah, to Graceville. In 1970 they built Turner’s 66 Station and Grocery on Hwy. 77.

Betty loved all the people that traded with them in the store, especially the neighborhood children. She loved Jesus, gospel music and messages from the Bible. She dearly loved her daughter and grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband Loyd Turner, son-in-law Danny Odom, her precious sister Francis Goodwin and her brothers Jim, Jake, Oscar and Harry Williams.

She is survived by her beloved daughter Deborah Odom, granddaughter Daina Odom Jones (Joe), grandson Daniel Odom (Michele), all of Graceville; special niece Kathy Duffell, Chipley, several nieces and nephews.

Home-going service will be 10 a.m., Wednesday, June 8, 2022, at the Chapel of James & Lipford Funeral Home. Family will receive friends 9 a.m. until time of service.
