Mr. Benjamin Wayne White, Sr. of Newark, New Jersey and formerly of the Mt. Tabor Community entered into eternal rest on Sunday, January 30th in New Jersey.  He was 63 years old.

Ben as he was affectionately called, was converted at an early age.  He graduated from Grand Ridge High School.  He later made his home in New Jersey and worked various jobs as a jack of all trades.  Ben became an entrepreneur, starting White Floor Maintenance with his brothers.

Ben leaves a lifetime of love and treasured memories with his mother, Lettie C. White of Greenwood, Florida; one son, Benjamin Wayne White, Jr. nd wife Jessica of Cary, North Carolina; two grandchildren, Zynaie and Ky’Jamina both of Cary, North Carolina; five brothers, Lucious White and wife Cindy, Leroy White and wife Lois, Toney White and wife Debra all of Newark, New Jersey, Larry Bernard White and wife Teressa of Palm Harbor, Florida and Frank White and wife Sharon of Greenwood, Florida; two sisters, Annie White Scott of Largo, Florida and Emma White Smith of Geneva, Florida; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. 

A public viewing will be Friday, February 11th from 3-6p.m. at Peoples Funeral Home Chapel.

A Homegoing Celebration will be held Saturday, February 12th at 11a.m. at the Pavilion at Mt. Tabor Missionary Baptist Church with Pastor Dwight Cockerham, Sr., Pastor Isaac Williams and Pastor Wallace Godwin officiating.  Interment will follow in the church cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the Caring Staff at Peoples Funeral Home of Marianna.
