Be on the lookout for P-SNAP benefits information

Some weeks ago, the Jackson County School Board had information on P-SNAP benefits that would be sent to all families of our children since our district is under the Community Eligibility Provision of the National School Lunch Program. The benefit card is disbursed through the Department of Children and Families but is not marked with this when it arrives in the mail, and can be mistaken for junk mail. Some families have already received this in the mail but if you have not, be on the lookout. DCF asked that you wait until after June 30 to call if you have not received it as they will be processing through that date. If you already have an active EBT card, you will not receive a separate card but the funds will be deposited to your existing card.
