The world lost a beautiful soul and mother. Barbara Ann Whitford Bailey, age 89, went to her forever home in Heaven, on October 4, 2021.
She is survived by her three children and two step-children, who made up the entirety of her world, Nancy L. Whitford, Thomas J. Whitford III, Timothy Whitford, Nancy B. Ream, and Shirley Johnston.
Besides her children, Barbara is survived by her five grandchildren. Timothy Whitford married Jacquilyn and blessed her with, Emily, Elisabeth, Joshua, Jocelynne, and Melody Whitford.
She was endearingly known as Barbara, Mom, and Grandma. She was born on June 12, 1932, to Edith and Morris Lawrence, in Montclair New Jersey. She married her first husband Thomas J. Whitford in 1959, and then married her second husband “Lefty” Herman C. Bailey in 1995.
Barbara was dearly loved by all, touching the lives of her many friends and family. She enjoyed creating memories with her family by singing songs, playing games, and going on adventures throughout her life. She created beauty in her life through her love of art. Her artistic talents included capturing the wonder of life through colorful paintings that will forever be cherished by her family.
Celebration of Barbara’s life will be attended by her family at the Gulf Coast. Friends wishing to honor Barbara Ann Whitford Bailey are invited to make a donation in her name to, Hope School at 2958 Cherokee St, Marianna FL 32446.
