Austin Stanley Phillips, a resident of Chattahoochee, Florida, was born to Robert Fred and Ollie Holland Phillips on October 20, 1957 in Madison, Florida and went to be with his Lord on August 22, 2020 in Tallahassee, Florida. Stanley was a hardworking man, dedicated husband, brother, and friend. To know Stanley was to love him. He was a fan of all sports. Whether it was in person or on television, Stanley enjoyed watching FSU and Dallas Cowboy football games as well as NASCAR races. He was a member of Faith Haven Assembly of God where he loved to attend when he was able. He loved children and one year he was delighted to dress up as Santa Claus at Christmas for the children’s entertainment. Stanley loved eagles and had an extensive eagle portrait and figurine collection of which he was extremely proud. He was a man of many hats and talents who lived a simple life. Stanley was a great man who will truly be missed, but never forgotten.

Stanley is survived by his precious wife, Daphine Buckhalter Phillips; three brothers, Joey Phillips, Bobby Phillips and Terry Phillips; father and mother in law, W.R. and Juanita Buckhalter; sister in law, Deborah Buckhalter; a special niece, Angela Phillips; and a faithful canine companion, “Prissy”, as well as many other extended family members and special friends.

Stanley was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, Eston Phillips and a sister, Louise Phillips.

Due to the ongoing concerns regarding the COVID-19 pandemic, a private family service will be held at Mount Pleasant Cemetery on Wednesday, August 26, 2020 with Rev. Jeffrey Dubose officiating.
