Arthur E. Anderson, 84, of Marianna, FL, passed away suddenly on Saturday, April 10, 2021 at Jackson Hospital.
Arthur was born July 7, 1936 in Erie, Pennsylvania to the late Eric Anderson and Althea Blystone Anderson. He served in the U.S. Navy for four years and was an avid member of the VFW. Arthur worked for NASA as an engineer from 1963 to 1995. He enjoyed playing dice and Yahtzee games, traveling with his wife, Mary, before her passing, and spending time with his family; especially his grandchildren.
Arthur was preceded in death by his parents, Eric and Althea Anderson; his wife of 57 years, Mary Anderson; and his granddaughter, Brittany Seaton.
Arthur is survived by his daughter, Cheryl Seaton (Joe Weaver) of Marianna, FL; son, Ken Anderson of Pascagoula, MS; his brothers, Leroy Anderson, Jim Anderson, Dave Anderson and wife, Helen, and Don Anderson, (Sherrie); his sister, Jan Casey and husband, Denny all of Pennsylvania. Arthur was also survived by his grandchildren, Ian Congelton and Michele Oppie; great grandson, Bren Bateman; and a host of aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Funeral services will be 6 o’clock Friday, April 16, 2021 at Dudley Funeral Home in New Smyrna Beach with Reverend Chuck Acheson officiating. Military Honors will be provided by the United States Navy Honor Guard.
The family will receive friends two hours prior to the service, from 4 o’clock to 6 o’clock, at Dudley Funeral Home in New Smyrna Beach fl.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital.
