Amanda Lynn Pullen Rigas age 33 of Tallahassee, Florida passed away on Saturday, September 4, 2021. She was born on October 4, 1987 and spent most of her life in Chattahoochee, Florida where she was a member of the First United Methodist Church. Amanda was a 2006 graduate of Sneads High School and the class president. After high school, she played sports at Jefferson Davis Community College and then attended FAMU where she earned her master’s degree in History. Amanda enjoyed being outdoors, hiking, camping and kayaking. One of her favorite pastimes was sleeping.
She was preceded in death by her grandfather, Dalton Hewett; great grandparents, James and Gladys Freeman, Willard and Beatrice Hewett, Hubert and Annie Pullen, Bert and Grace Clemons, and one cousin, Dale Pullen.
Amanda is survived by her parents; Vann and Kim Pullen of Chattahoochee, Florida; loving husband of five years, Alex Rigas of Tallahassee, Florida; one brother, Chris Pullen (Tessa) of Tallahassee, Florida; one niece, Avery Pullen; two nephews, Carter and Cameron Pullen; maternal grandmother, Kathryn Hewett of Grand Ridge, Florida; paternal Grandparents, Bob and JoAnn Pullen of Tallahassee, Florida; mother n law, Kathryn Rigas of Sarasota, Florida; father n law, Dmitri Rigas of Tallahassee, Florida and one brother in law, C.J. Lapp of San Francisco, California.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 A.M. Eastern Time on Tuesday, September 7, 2021, in the First United Methodist Church in Chattahoochee, Florida with Pastor MaryAnn Piccioni and Reverend Mike Hutcherson officiating. A private family burial will follow at Freeman Cemetery in Decatur County, Georgia.
Due to precautions surrounding the Covid-19 pandemic, the family has requested that everyone wear a face covering and maintain social distance.
