Alyssa McKenzie Wheeler, 18, of Crestview, Florida died Sunday, March 20, 2022, at North Okaloosa Medical Center. She was born to Cullen and Shannon Wheeler, of Marianna (formerly of Crestview), on August 28, 2003, in Stockbridge, GA.

She was very outgoing full of happiness and loved photography! She loved giving her daddy a hard time about being a Georgia Bulldog fan as she was a fan of FSU. Alyssa was a true prankster, and you never knew what to expect when she was around. She absolutely adored her twin sisters, Addison and Allison, and loved them so much. She grew up playing soccer, cheer, and was in the band, as well as ROTC. Alyssa finished out her high school career where she graduated at FLYCA. She absolutely loved taking care of her beautiful long hair and was extremely proud of it. Alyssa was a very hard worker at her places of employment, as well as her many hobbies.

Out of all the places that we’ve lived she had a huge impact on many people’s lives and met a lot of amazing people along the way, she truly loved being in Florida, where we all enjoyed the sunsets on the water. Whenever you were sad, she always had her goofy way of cheering you up and making you laugh. Alyssa was the pickiest eater when she was a little girl, and always wanted her Vienna Sausage, and Mac and Cheese. She loved all animals but had a special place in her heart for her little dog, Diesel, and goofy Gus. She always enjoyed going camping and to the mountains with Paw Paw and Nana, horseback riding with her Aunt Jane, and the Zoo with her Gramps and Grammy.

Alyssa was preceded in death by her “Paw Paw”, Patrick Ingram of McDonough, GA. She is survived by her parents, Cullen and Shannon Wheeler; two sisters, Addison and Allison Wheeler, all of Marianna, FL; grandmother, Nancy Ingram of McDonough, GA; grandparents, Patrick and Linda McCormick, of Stockbridge, GA; great-parents, Buck and Lynette Fitch, of Griffin, GA; Uncle Keith and Aunt Andrea Wheeler, of St. Johns, FL; great-uncle Charles and great-aunt Jane Mobley, of Griffin, GA; great-uncle Skip and great-aunt Jane Loman, of Crestview, FL; and four cousins, Reese and Whitney Wheeler, Mallory Ladd, and Alan Mobley.

Services for Alyssa will be at 11:00 AM, Saturday, March 26, 2022, at James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel with Reverend Vince Smith officiating. The family will receive friends from 10:00 AM until service time.
