Alexus Izela Salguero Peraza passed away on Wednesday, May 10, 2023. She was 18 years old. At the time of her death, Alexus was at the precipice of graduating high school and pursuing her collegiate studies in Psychology.
Alexus was born on April 7, 2005, in Bayonne, New Jersey. From the moment she was born, her inner joy always shone through her infectious smile. It’s easy to love babies, but the older Alexus grew, the more endearing people found her. Her parents moved to Sneads, Florida when she was an infant. Even though she knew she was a born Jersey Girl, she loved all that Sneads added to her upbringing. From the perfect small charm town, to her teachers and friends, she slowly morphed into a Floridian Girl.
In her short life, Alexus learned a lot about the importance of a good education and great friendships. She often enjoyed a new book and loved learning about psychology. She was a great listener and her friends often sought to obtain her sound advice. She participated in several walkathons to raise funds for breast cancer research in memory of her grandmother. She was also an incredible jiu jitsu student who earned a yellow belt. Alexus was a talented painter and photographer; she had a keen eye for taking breathtaking scenic pictures. She was quite the barefoot adventurer, she enjoyed the outdoors and traveling to different hiking points across the country with her “mama”, “papa”, and most recently with her little sister, “Lili”.
Alexus is survived by her parents, Neftali and Ana, younger sister, Liliana Sarahi, Tia Ve-Ve whom she lovingly called her second mother, Godparents, aunts, uncles and cousins.
A time of visitation will be held on Friday, May 26, 2023, from 6:00 PM to 8:00 PM CST and a celebration of life service will be on Saturday, May 27, 2023, at 10:00AM CST.

A Alexus le sobreviven sus padres, Neftali y Ana, su hermana menor, Liliana Sarahi, Tia Ve-Ve a quien cariñosamente llamaba su segunda madre, padrinos, tías, tíos y primos.
Se llevará a cabo un servicio de celebración de su vida el viernes 26 de mayo de 2023 a las 6:00 p. m. y el sábado 27 de mayo de 2023 a las 10:00 a. m.
