Albert Hamm Jr., a life-long resident of Jackson County and lovingly known as “Peanut”, passed away on Sunday, April 25, 2021 at the age of 66. He was born on August 18, 1954 to the late Albert Hamm Sr. and Gracie Martin Hamm, and was a member of Salem Wesleyan Church. Peanut made a career as a Semi Truck Driver for over 20 years.  He enjoyed fishing and telling random stories to whomever had the time to sit and listen a while. But most of all, he loved spending time with his grandchildren, having snacks and watching favorite TV shows.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Karen Hamm; his parents; one brother; and four sisters.

Albert is survived by his daughter Brittney Perdue (Cody Johnson) of Marianna, FL; one son-in-law, Ethan Perdue of Greenwood, FL; longtime companion, Sharon Eubanks; two sisters, Margaret Ziegler of Shady Grove and Pansy Halloman of Mulberry, FL; one brother, Gill Hamm (Elouise) of Rehobeth, AL; ten grandchildren, Kieran Perdue, Wesley Perdue, Mandy Johnson, Jakeb Johnson, Michael Eubanks, Nicholas Eubanks, Tiffany Eubanks, Olivia Eubanks, Lakyn Clark, and Lennox Clark; and many other family members and friends.

Funeral Service for Mr. Albert will be held on Wednesday, April 28, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. CST at McAlpin Funeral Home, with Reverend Toby Allen officiating.  Visitation will be held 1 hour prior to service at 10:00a.m. CST.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that donations be made to McAlpin Funeral Home to help pay for the expense of Mr. Albert’s funeral.

McAlpin Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
