Salatha Andretta Miles Lassiter

Salatha Andretta Miles Lassiter (fondly known as Sam), 80 of Graceville, Florida sadly left us on April 14, 2024, for her Heavenly home.

Sam lived in Graceville most of her life with her parents and siblings. After getting married, Sam moved to Gainesville, Florida where she drove a school bus for the school system where two of her three children attended school. Moving back to Graceville, Sam worked at West Point Pepperell, retiring as a seamstress. She then became a semi driver and drove as a team for several years with her oldest son Gene. As a retiree she enjoyed spending time with her three children and four grandchildren making memories during holidays and family vacations.

Sam is preceded in death by her parents Richard Duncan Miles and Essie Mae Wynn Miles, son Larry Gene Weldon, II, five siblings J.B. Miles, Howard Miles, Rufus Miles, Syble Braswell and Sara Broxton.

She is survived by daughter, Angela Perry (Jeff), son Aaron Weldon (Isa), four grandchildren Ray Perry (Lisa), Larry Weldon, III, Kayla McCoy (David), Gavin Weldon, sister Martha Juanita Turner and a host of nieces and nephews.

A Home-going service will be 1 p.m., CDT, Friday, April 19, 2024, at the Chapel of James & Lipford Funeral Home with Bro. Curtis Weldon officiating. The burial to follow at New Hope Assembly of God Cemetery with James & Lipford Funeral Home in Graceville directing.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday, April 18, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. (CDT).

Gloria Bosko

Gloria Bosko, age 82, of Orlando, Florida, passed away on April 2, 2024. She was born on January 23, 1942. Gloria was a devoted Catholic and cherished by all who knew her.

She is survived by her daughter, Andrea Picarelli, her granddaughter, Cynthia Nichole Clanton Martinez, Sister Diane Hartong, Brothers Angelo Nicorvo and Robert Bosko, and sister-in-law Miriam “Skeezy” Bosko. Gloria was predeceased by her only son, Jason Edward Picarelli, in 2011.

Per her wishes, no memorial services are planned. The family would like to express their gratitude to the Advent Hospice Unit in Orlando, Florida.

May Gloria Bosko rest in peace.

Marialuz Armesto

Marialuz Armesto, age 72, of Cottondale, FL, passed away on Monday, April 8, 2024 at her home. Marialuz “Malu” was born March 24, 1952 in Lima, Peru. She was of the Catholic faith and took great pride in dedicating her life to humanitarian work. She was awarded the President’s Lifetime Achievement Award for her volunteering with the Red Cross for three decades. She also loved spending time outdoors in her garden. She was a frequent fisherwoman and prided cooking for family and friends. Above all, she was a great story teller and truly enjoyed touching many lives.  She is survived by her brothers, Alberto and Roberto; sisters, Marlene, Magali, Marilyn, Luzena, Mireya and Mylene; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins.
No services are planned at this time. Memorialization will be by cremation with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
