Sealed bids, submitted in triplicate, will be received by the Board of County Commissioners of Jackson County, Florida, (Owner), until     1:00 p.m. (Central Time)  July 27, 2017   at the County Engineer’s Office (County Engineer, Larry Alvarez), 2828 Owens Street, Marianna, FL 32446 for the construction of the following described Project:

Circle Hill Road (from Timberlane Road to Oak Grove Road)
The Work involves paving the existing dirt road to 20 foot wide (two 10 foot lanes) and includes clearing and grubbing and trimming to existing maintained road width (existing width varies) or to 16 feet from center of existing dirt road, grading to typical section, dig out and remove unsuitable material (if encountered), grade shoulders (and ditches where the width allows) prior to placing limerock, 8” limerock base, the base will be primed with prime coat, 1-1/2” layer of SP 9.5 asphalt, finish grade the shoulders prior to placing sod, sod, seed and mulch, Maintenance of Traffic (MOT), paving driveways with 1-1/2” asphalt and 6” limerock, aprons, stormwater pollution prevention, grading ditches and/or shoulders to provide positive drainage, sod beside the road, driveways, and mitered ends, seed and mulch all other disturbed areas, and pipe replacement and mitered ends or headwalls as indicated in the plans, and striping and pavement markings. 

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on July 20, 2017 at 9:00 AM central time at the Jackson County Road Department.  Potential bidders are encouraged to attend.
 
The deadline for receipt of questions will be July 24, 2017 at 2:00 PM Central Time.  Questions must be submitted in writing to the County Engineer (email [email protected]: fax (850) 482-9063) with a copy to the Jeannie Bean (email [email protected]).

PROJECT NAME:     District 1 Improved Roads   

Sealed bids, submitted in triplicate, will be received by the Board of County Commissioners of Jackson County, Florida, (Owner), until     1:00 p.m. (Central Time)  July 27, 2017   at the County Engineer’s Office (County Engineer, Larry Alvarez), 2828 Owens Street, Marianna, FL 32446 for the construction of the following described Project:

Cardinal Road; Community Road; Avery Road; Overpass Road 
The Work involves improvements to the existing dirt roads, including limited clearing and grubbing, grading to typical section and box out for limerock, grade shoulders (and ditches where the width allows) prior to placing limerock, place and compact limerock base, prime the base with prime coat, place double Chipseal or alternately 1-1/4” layer of SP 9.5 asphalt, finish grade the shoulders prior to placing sod, place sod along the edge of road and driveways, hydro-seed other disturbed areas, Maintenance of Traffic (MOT), double chip seal or paving driveways with 1-1/4” asphalt and 6” limerock, stormwater pollution prevention, and grading ditches and/or shoulders to provide positive drainage. 

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on July 20, 2017 at 9:00 AM central time at the Jackson County Road Department.  Potential bidders are encouraged to attend.
 
The deadline for receipt of questions will be July 24, 2017 at 2:00 PM Central Time.  Questions must be submitted in writing to the County Engineer (email [email protected]: fax (850) 482-9063) with a copy to the Jeannie Bean (email [email protected]).

Bids will be opened and recorded at 1:10 PM (or immediately thereafter) on July 27, 2017 at the Jackson County Board of County Commissioners Board Room at 2864 Madison Street.  Bids may also be submitted to the County Engineer at the Board Room from12:50 PM until 1:10 PM Central Time.

Bid documents will be open for public inspection after noon on July 14, 2017 at the Road and Bridge office at 2828 Owens Street.  Bid documents can be obtained from:
