The Grand Ridge Town Council will conduct a Public Meeting on June 21, 2018 at 6:00 P.M. at Grand Ridge Town Hall, 2086 Porter Avenue, Grand Ridge, Florida, to give the citizenry an opportunity to become acquainted with the proposed fire truck grant through USDA Rural Development and to comment on such items as economic and environmental impacts, service area, alternatives to the project and other matters of concern. 

The meeting will include discussion of the application process and Town action relative to approving, executing, and submitting a formal application to USDA Rural Development for grant and local approval.

ADVERTISEMENT FOR BIDS

 PROJECT NAME:     District 2 Chip Seal or Paving   

 Sealed bids, submitted in triplicate, will be received by the Board of County Commissioners of Jackson County, Florida, (Owner), until     1:00 p.m. (Central Time)  June 28, 2018   at the County Engineer’s Office (County Engineer, Larry Alvarez), 2828 Owens Street, Marianna, FL 32446 for the construction of the following described Project:

Athens Court; Cloverdale Road; Heavenly Drive; Parkview Road; Cycle Lane 
The Work involves improvements to the existing dirt roads, including limited clearing and grubbing, grading to typical section and box out for limerock, grade shoulders (and ditches where the width allows) prior to placing limerock, place and compact limerock base, prime the base with prime coat, place double Chipseal or alternately 1″ layer of SP 9.5 asphalt, finish grade the shoulders prior to placing sod, place sod along the edge of road and driveways, hydro-seed other disturbed areas, Maintenance of Traffic (MOT), double chip seal or paving driveways with 1″ asphalt and 6″ limerock, stormwater pollution prevention, and grading ditches and/or shoulders to provide positive drainage. 

A Non-Mandatory Pre-Bid Meeting will be held on June 21, 2018 at 9:00 AM central time at the Jackson County Road Department.  Potential bidders are encouraged to attend.
 
The deadline for receipt of questions will be June 25, 2018 at 2:00 PM Central Time.  Questions must be submitted in writing to the County Engineer (email [email protected]: fax (850) 482-9063) with a copy to the Jeannie Bean (email [email protected]).

Bids will be opened and recorded at 1:10 PM (or immediately thereafter) on June 28, 2018 at the Jackson County Board of County Commissioners Board Room at 2864 Madison Street.  Bids may also be submitted to the County Engineer at the Board Room from12:50 PM until 1:10 PM Central Time.
