Willie Morgan Pippin, age 63 of Cottondale passed away on Friday, June 5,
2020 at his home surrounded by his family. He was born in Houston, Texas on
September 26, 1956 and spent most of his life in Cottondale. Willie proudly
served his country in the United States Marine Corps, where he obtained the
rank of Lance Corporal. He was a truck driver and enjoyed making a living
sitting behind the wheel. Willie loved NASCAR, camping, fishing, and cooking
for family and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Grover Stephen Pippin and Alice Faye
Faircloth Pippin; one brother, Douglas Pippin.
Willie is survived by his loving wife of 46 years, Vickie Pippin of Cottondale;
children, Willie Michael Pippin and wife Robbie of Cottondale, and Kisha
McGinty and husband Greg of Cottondale; one brother, Steve Pippin and wife
Angie of Cottondale; grandchildren, Willie Marshal Pippin (Breanna), Morgan
McGinty (Undreyus), Anna Marie Pippin (Reid), Jersie McGinty, and Douglas
Pippin; great-grandchildren, Zaxton Baker, Kyser Hall, and the first great-
granddaughter on the way. Willie is also survived by a host of nieces and
nephews.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Wednesday, June 10, 2020 in the
Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Brian Braxton officiating. Burial will
follow in the First United Methodist Church of Cottondale cemetery.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 from 6:00 p.m. until
8:00 p.m. in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home.
