NOTICE OF ADOPTION OF ORDINANCE

AN ORDINANCE PROVIDING FOR AN ADDITION TO CHAPTER 29-6 OF THE JACKSON COUNTY CODE RELATED TO CODE ENFORCEMENT PROCEDURES, TO PROVIDE FOR THE USE OF SPECIAL HEARING OFFICERS; PROVIDING FOR THE ADOPTION OF SPECIAL HEARING OFFICER PROCEDURES IN CHAPTER 29-7A OF THE COUNTY CODE; PROVIDING FOR SEVERABILITY, REPEALER, AND AN EFFECTIVE DATE.

The adoption of a title of a proposed ordinance will be on February 27, 2018 at 6:15 p.m. in the Board of County Commission meeting room located in the Jackson County Administration Building at 2864 Madison Street, Marianna, Florida.  The documents may be inspected at the Jackson County Community Development Department at 4979 Healthy Way, Suite B, Marianna, FL, 32446. NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING AND ATTORNEY-CLIENT EXECUTIVE SESSION

The Jackson County Commission will conduct a Special Meeting and an Attorney-Client Executive Session Monday, February 19, 2018, at 1:00 p.m. (CST) in the County Commission Chambers located at 2864 Madison Street, Marianna, Florida to discuss litigation strategy and settlement negotiations.

After the Special Meeting is convened the Board will go into closed session pursuant to Section 286.011(8), Florida Statutes. The subject matter of the executive session is an attorney update in the following matter:  Compass Lake in the Hills Property Owner’s Association, Inc. v. Compass Lake in the Hills Municipal Services Taxing Unit; et. al.; Jackson County Circuit Court Case No. 2016-CA-000029.

The discussions in this session shall be confined to settlement negotiations and litigation strategy. The session will be recorded by a certified court reporter. The meeting will last approximately 1 hour and will be attended by Chairman Eric Hill, Commissioner Willie Spires, Commissioner Clint Pate, Commissioner Chuck Lockey, Commissioner Jim Peacock, County Administrator Ernie Padgett, County Attorney Michelle Jordan, special counsel for the Board Heather Encinosa, and a certified court reporter.

Following the closed session, the Board will reconvene in open session in the Board Chambers so that the Chair may announce the termination of the executive session. NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING AND 
ATTORNEY-CLIENT EXECUTIVE SESSION

The Campbellton Graceville Hospital Board will conduct a Special Meeting and an Attorney-Client Executive Session at 10:00 a.m. (CST) on February 16, 2018 in the Hospital Board Room located at 5429 College Drive, Graceville, Florida to discuss ongoing litigation.

After the Special Meeting is convened the Board will go into closed session pursuant to Section 286.011(8), Florida Statutes. The subject matter of the executive session is an attorney update in the following matter: In re: Campbellton-Graceville Hospital Corporation, Case Number: 17-40185-KKS, Chapter 11, U.S. Bankruptcy Court for the Northern District of Florida.

The discussions in this session shall be confined to settlement negotiations and litigation strategy. The session will be recorded by a certified court reporter. The meeting will last approximately 1 hour and will be attended by CRO Marshall Glade or his designee, Board Chairman Heston Hicks, Board Member Chris Jernigan, Board Member Pat Pelham, Board Attorney Michelle Jordan, Special Counsel to the Board Brian Rich, and a certified court reporter.
