Hilton “Lamar” Edenfield, age 72, of Blountstown, FL, passed away on Saturday, June 18, 2022. Lamar was born January 23, 1950, to James Gordon and Katie Ann Edenfield. He had lived in Calhoun County most of his life, graduating from Altha High School in 1968. Lamar was proud to have played basketball while at Altha and was a part of the only team to win a district championship. He attended Enterprise Junior College and Troy State University on a basketball scholarship. He spent 4 years in the National Guard, then was a logger and truck driver. Lamar loved the outdoors and really enjoyed hunting, fishing, and golfing. But most of all he truly loved his family. He is preceded in death by his parents, James Gorden and Kate Edenfield. Survivors include, wife, Pamela (Pam) Kirkland Edenfield of Blountstown, FL; sons, Jason Edenfield and Tonda of Clarksville, FL, Jake Edenfield and Kristen of Chipley, FL; daughters, Tara Crumpler and Steve of Marianna, FL, Dara Taylor and Jeff of Blountstown, FL; brothers, James Ruben Edenfield and Linda of Hosford, FL, Donnie Edenfield and Donna of Altha, FL, Willard Edenfield and Annette of Altha, FL, Greg Edenfield and Hilda of Altha, FL; sisters, Annette Bontrager, of Blountstown, FL, DeLora Ann Doyal, of Grovetown, GA, Deborah Goin of Jacksonville Beach, FL, Rachel Durden and Garry of Grand Ridge, FL; grandchildren, Erika, Bret, Bryce, Sterlin, Hailey, Waylon, Hudson, Ridge; great grandchildren, Hilton, Melton, Audri’Ann, Jordyn; numerous nieces, nephews, and cousins. Family will receive friends Wednesday June 22, 2022, from 6:00 PM until 8:00 PM (CT) at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel. Funeral services will be held on Thursday, June 23, 2022, at 10:00 AM (CT) at the Peavy Funeral Home Chapel with Reverend Ken Kirkland officiating. Interment will follow at Edenfield Cemetery in Altha, FL. All arrangements are under the direction of Marlon Peavy at Peavy Funeral Home in Blountstown, FL.
