Louise “Ise” Liddon McFarlin Daffin, age 98, died on Saturday, April 30, 2022 at Southeast Alabama Medical Center. Ise was born to John Lee McFarlin, Jr. and Louise Liddon McFarlin on July 6, 1923. She grew up in Marianna and married Ralph Hunter Daffin, Sr. on February 23, 1940. She was preceded in death by her mother and father, her husband, son, Ralph Hunter Daffin, Jr., her companion, Leonard “Bud” Strength and son in law, Thomas Cornell Wilkinson, Sr. She is survived by two children, Louise Daffin Wilkinson and John McFarlin Daffin (Louise). She is also survived by grandchildren, Katherine Daffin Smith (Tom), Louise Wilkinson Spivey (Tim), Thomas Cornell Wilkinson Jr, Ralph Hunter Daffin, III (Patrick), Edie Daffin Ramsey (Greg), Lee McFarlin Daffin (Marie), Elaine Daffin Freni (David), Eleanor Daffin Lawson (Travis) and ten great grandchildren.

As a young child Ise enjoyed traveling the world with her maternal grandparents. In the early 1960’s, her beloved English bulldog, Duke, was the Marianna High School mascot. Later in life, she loved swimming weekly with her friends, the “mermaids,” walking, going to Mexico Beach, traveling and spending time with her many pets. She was well known around town as an excellent cook and especially for her delicious caramel and coconut cakes.

The family will receive friends for visitation at her residence, 2732 Indian Springs Rd. Marianna, FL, 32446 on Tuesday, May 3, 2022 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

A memorial service will be Wednesday, May 4, 2022 at the First Presbyterian Church in Marianna with Dr. Raymond Guterman officiating and Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing. Interment will be private in Pinecrest Memorial Gardens at a later date.
