Mrs. Johnnie R. Thomas, 102, passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 in Hartford, AL. She was born on May 28, 1919 to the late Thomas Louis and Lela Rosanna Jordan Register. Mrs. Johnnie married her late husband Henry Macon Thomas on March 14, 1937. They were happily married for 68 years before his passing in 2005. She worked as the housekeeping supervisor at Campbellton – Graceville Hospital for 37 years until she retired at, the age of 81. She was a lifelong member of Mt. Calvary Baptist Church and was a former choir director.
She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, brothers; Festus Register and Dudley Register, sisters; Leola Register, and Fannie Mae Register Hamm.
Mrs. Johnnie is survived by a very special niece Lisa Neslund, and several great nieces and nephews.
Services for Mrs. Johnnie will be held 2:00 PM, Friday, October 22, 2021 at Mt. Calvary Baptist Church with Rev. Addis Habbard and Dr. Chris Adams officiating with Williams Funeral Home directing.
Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Family will receive friends one hour prior to services.
