Angela Branch Cozart took her last breath, this side of heaven, on Friday, September 10th, 2021, after a strong battle against Covid-19. Angie was born on March 16th, 1968, in Marianna FL to Harold and Judy Branch. On November 29, 2002, she married Jamie Cozart, and raised three children Ryan Lipsey, Jordan Johnson, and Abigayle Cozart.

“Words” were always her thing. “Words” of wisdom, “words” of knowledge, “words” of uplift. She was the proudest of her 3 children. Her “words” touched so many. If you got lucky enough to meet Angie, you would know the amount of love she brought upon everyone she talked to. You know she had the sweetest smile that could light up a room. You knew she had the biggest heart for her children, grandchildren, nieces, nephews, siblings, parents, and every other single person she met.

Angie had a strong passion for family, and it didn’t even have to be hers. With only three biological children, Angie was a blessing and a kind support system to countless children from the ones she mentored, to her children’s best friends who always knew her door was open if they ever needed her.

You could tell Angie was a fierce warrior of God from one conversation with her. She always strived to love like Jesus and always made sure the grandchildren always had a ride to church. Angie is going to be remembered for her one-of-a-kind heart, her selfless passion for her family, and her undying love for Christ.

Angie is preceded in death by her father Harold Dean Branch, her late husband Brian Lipsey, and several aunts, uncles, and cousins. She is survived by her mother Judy Branch; her husband Jamie Cozart, her son Ryan Lipsey (Anna), her daughter Jordan Johnson (Zach), and her daughter Abigayle Cozart; her grandchildren, James Dean Johnson, Zoey Johnson and John David Johnson, Alayna Bowling, and new granddaughter Emily Ryan Lipsey due any day; her brothers and sister, Kenneth Branch (Naomi), Kim Stephens (KC), and Eric Branch (Chanley).

Funeral Services will be held in Rivertown Community Church in Marianna, Florida beginning at 10:00 AM CT on Wednesday, September 15, 2021, with Rev. Paul Smith and Dr. Bob McKibben officiating. The family will receive friends on Tuesday, September 14, 2021, from 5:00 PM – 7:00 PM also in Rivertown Community Church in Marianna, FL.

Flowers are welcomed by the family, or you may make a contribution in memory of Angie to assist her family in placing a monument in the cemetery that honors her life.

McAlpin Funeral Home is entrusted with all arrangements.
