Sarah Fortner Cozart, age 84, of Marianna, FL passed away Saturday, August 7, 2021 at her home.
Sarah was born in Geneva, AL on September 8, 1936 to the late Robert Fortner and Madge Sellers. Sarah married her loving husband Jimmy Cozart on November 6, 1959 at the First Baptist Church in Graceville, FL. They moved to Marianna in 1967 to raise their family. She then retired from the Department of Health and Rehabilitation Services where she worked as a social worker. She enjoyed playing card games and dominos with her friends as well as her leisure time fishing with her husband.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Robert and Madge Fortner and husband, Jimmy Cozart.
She is survived by her son, Jamie Cozart and wife, Angie of Marianna, FL, daughter, Laurie Griggs and husband, Walt of Orlando, FL, grandchildren, Abby Cozart, Tyler Cozart, Stephanie Griggs and Brian Griggs.
A private family interment will be at Riverside Cemetery with Marianna Chapel Funeral Home directing.
