Justin Miles – Graceville High Athletic Director

Justin Miles, wife Jordan, and Greyson Justin Miles, wife Jordan, and Greyson Photo By: Amanda Elrod

Justin Miles has moved mountains in his short time at Graceville High School.  Miles returned from his alma mater last year to take over as the head boys basketball coach.  In just one short season, he took his team to the final four where they lost in overtime.

It was announced last week that with the resignation of head football coach and athletic director Grant Thompson, Principal Julie Burdeshaw had named Miles to take over his duties.  Miles will continue as head boys basketball coach.

Miles had been an offensive assistant football coach under Grant this past season and is very familiar with the team he is inheriting.  His success as a coach speaks for itself with the basketball program.  Miles says being a head football coach is a dream come true.  Miles will get his feet wet early with his new team scheduled to take on the always tough Chipley Tigers in their spring game scheduled for May 18.

The transition should be a smooth one with Miles knowing the system, as well as the players.

Miles is a 2009 graduate of Graceville High School, attended and graduated from Chipole College with a BS degree in ESE education in 2016.  He began at Graceville in August of 2016.

Miles and his wife, Jordan have two children, Greyson one year old, and Ella Grace, who is seven weeks old.

The staff at the TIMES congratulates Justin on his accomplishments and wishes him the best in his new venture.
