Anthony Terry breaks record in capturing STATE TITLE

Anthony Terry Anthony Terry

Sneads High School weightlifter Anthony Terry most likely hasn’t come down to earth yet. This past weekend, he not only captured the State Championship in his class, he broke the bench press state record for his weight class.  The record had stood strong for 16 years before this past weekend when the new kid in town set a new record.

Sneads High School’s weightlifting team brought home third place as a team. Other notable finishers were Alonzo Hill, third place; Seth Scott, fourth place; and K. J. Pelt-Long, seventh place.

Congratulations to Anthony Terry, the Sneads Pirates and coach Bill Thomas on their accomplishments from the publisher and staff of the Jackson County Times.
