This past weekend, the Marianna Bulldog wrestling team traveled to Tallahassee to participate in the Chiles Timberwolf Duals. The Bulldogs finished second in Pool B, defeating Wewa, Leon and Choctaw.  The wrestlers fought hard against Chiles but came up just shy of a win.  John Maddox had a little redemption from losses this season winning a double overtime match with Chiles’ wrestler Kyle McGinnis. Marianna lost to a tough Pace team in a battle of the number twos Pool A and B.

John Maddox picked up his 100th win Saturday. Corey Davis, Jonah Mercer and Neal Smith all went undefeated in weekend action.

District action is up next for the Bulldogs this weekend at Mosley in Panama City. Regionals has been moved from Wewahitchka to South Walton High School.
