Marianna Bulldog wrestlers take 3rd at North Bay Haven Bash

The Marianna Bulldogs spent their last weekend before returning to the classroom after the holiday break competing on the mat at the North Bay Haven Bash.  The results made the trip more than worth it as the Bulldogs took third place in the NBH Bash.

Saturday’s results were Marianna 40, Arnold 42, Marianna 30 Gulf Breeze 39, Marianna 37 FWB 34, Marianna 63 Bozeman 6, and Marianna 48 Choctaw 23.

Marianna went 5-0 on the first day (Friday) of the NBH Bash. Friday’s results were Marianna 43 Niceville 30, Marianna 46 Wewa 23, Marianna 60 Rutherford 12, Marianna 51 Tate 21, and Marianna 42 Parker 30 

Marianna’s only losses were to undefeated first place Arnold and also second place Gulf Breeze. 

Jonah Mercer finished 9-0 on the weekend while John Maddox is following right behind brother Cole Maddox with a 7-0 finish. 

Key notes from the Bash included Jayson Kyle in the 120 division, Trett Phillips in the 126 division, Cody Lewis in the 145 division all recorded their first high school pin.
