Marianna cheerleaders attend 2018 NCA camp in Panama City

Marianna cheerleaders attend 2018 NCA camp in Panama City

The Marianna High School varsity and junior varsity cheerleading squads attend the 2018 NCA camp in Panama City last week and walked away with award after award.

The varsity squad had seven All-American Nominees.  They were Mallory Barber, Ellery Glass, Jada Holden, Rylie Kish, Lauren Martin and Jadyn Stevens.  Of those, Mallory Barber, Jada Holden, and Jadyn Stevens competed and were successful in being named All-American.  

The varsity squad returned home with the spirit stick, All-American Nominees and superior ribbons for their cheer and dance chant. They are under the leadership of Brandi Harris with assistance from Cianna Harris.  Brandi Harris said of the camp and her cheerleaders, “Mallory Barber, Jada Holden, and Jadyn Stevens rocked the floor and were all awarded All-American cheerleader. I’m so proud of all the girls.”

The junior squad also had a very successful NCA camp in Panama City. Nominated for All-American were Juliette Alday, Avery Arunakul, Hannah McCoy, and Emily Seay.  Juliette Alday was named All-American from the MHS Junior Varsity squad.

The JV cheerleaders brought home the Top Cheer Award and the spirit stick.  They received superior on the band chant dance with a celebration at the luau. 

They are coached by former MHS and Chipola cheerleader, Jordan Exum Moore who is very excited about this group of cheerleaders, “They have worked so hard and all had positive attitudes. They are a great group of girls.”
