In the first inning, Marianna picked up one run when Jade Hendrix led things off with a single and moved to second when Amari Brown drew a walk.  A double steal put runners on first and second for a sac to right field by Angel Curry to score Hendrix.  Lexie Spooner was hit by a pitch but two were left on the bags when the inning ended. Grand Ridge answered with two runs to take an early 2-1 lead over Marianna. Taylor-Reece Howell singled and moved to second on a sac by Sister Arnold. With two outs, Aurlee Perkins was hit by a pitch, followed by Kaylee Grammer drawing a walk to load the bases. Katelyn Chumley singled to score the final run of the inning before a strikeout ended the bottom of the first.

Marianna was three up, three down in the second inning. Grand Ridge added two runs in their half of the inning to make it a 4-1 game. With one out, Destiny Williams was hit by a pitch and moved to third on a single by Taylor-Reece Howell.  With two outs, Kylie Stephens reached on an error to score both runners and end up stranded at third when the final batter ground out to short.

Angel Curry reached to load the bases for Lexie Spooner to pick up an RBI when she took one for the team.  Lashaina Harvey drew a walk to plate another run with Jailey Gray following suit with another RBI walk.
