Alneta Pittman

Sister Alneta Pittman age 85 of Campbellton, FL passed away Monday November 5th at her residence surrounded by her loving family. 

Funeral services were held 12 p.m. Saturday November 10th 2018 at New Bethel C. M. E. Church located 2487 Hwy 2 Campbellton, FL., with Elder/Pastor Oscar Massey, Reverends Richard Curl, Earnestine Daniels and Douglas Cotton officiating. Interment followed in St. Paul/New Bethel Cemetery located at 5180 Hwy 273 Campbellton, FL 32426, with McKinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL. directing. 

Sis. Alneta Pittman was born in Jackson County, Florida July 29, 1933 to the late Alfred Johnson Sr. and Magnolia Curl Johnson. She was converted at an early age and joined New Bethel C. M. E. Church of Campbellton, FL where she served as an Usher for 55 years.  She married Lewis Pittman and together they raised seven children.  

She was preceded in death by one sister, Sherman Robinson.

She is survived by Her Children: Mattie Booker (John) of Campbellton, FL; Howard McKinnie (Carolyn) of Campbellton, FL; Gene Otis Daniels (Jacquelyn) of Greenwood, SC; Michael Britt (Marilyn) of Campbellton, FL; Carol Pittman of Campbellton, FL; Sharon Pittman (Robert) of Macon, GA; and Catherine Pittman of Campbellton, FL. Two Sisters: Elneta Wesley of the Stateline Community and Viola Pittman (Foy Lee) of Campbellton, FL. One Brother: Alfred Johnson Jr (Henrietta) of Maplewood, NJ. 10 Grandchildren, 14 Great-Grandchildren, several nieces, nephews, friends, in-laws and a dedicated friend (Elease Varner).

Leroy Cooper

Mr. Leroy Cooper (affectionally known as “Jabo” age 61 of Marianna, FL passed away Tuesday October 16th at his residence. 

Funeral services were held 1p.m. Saturday October 27th 2018 at McKinnie Funeral Home Chapel located 5304 Bowden Hill Road Campbellton, FL., with Reverends William Harvey and Wallace Godwin officiating. Interment followed in the Orange Hill Cemetery Marianna, FL with McKinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL. directing. 

Leroy “Jabo” Cooper was born August 31, 1957 in Marianna, FL. to the late Zellie Glover and Janet Cooper Murphy. He accepted Christ as his Lord and Savior at an early age and joined the Greater Buckhorn Missionary Baptist Church under the leadership of Reverend William Harvey. 

He was a graduate of Marianna High School, and attended Florida A & M University where he received a bachelor degree in Criminal Justice. Upon completion he began a long and fulfilling career as a truck driver. His loved football, cooking and people.

He leaves to cherish his loving memory:

His Children: Tameshia Keys, Kamille Cooper, Janet Cooper, Clifton Cooper, Leroy Cooper, Jr., James and Timothy Paramore.

His Mother: Janet Cooper Murphy. 

His Grandchildren: Shae Keys, Tyheshia Dozier, Corey Johnson and Bailey Cooper.

His Brother: Clifton Murphy, Jr.

His Uncle: Walter James Glover. 

His Nephew: Samuel Clifton Murphy

His Special Friends: Rohan Anderson, Steve Holland, Phyllis Hall, Scotty White &  Family, Pearline Sims & Family, John Mark Dudley & Family and the Evergreen Missionary Baptist Church Family.

His lovely lady (Fiancée): Martha Lynn Paramore and host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Alicia McKinnie

Ms. Alicia McKinnie, age 35, of Chipley, Florida passed away, Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at her home. Funeral Services will be 11 a. m., Saturday, May 13, 2017 at First Baptist Church located at 1300 South Blvd Chipley, FL, where Brother Mike Orr, is Pastor, Brother Matt Sawyer student pastor and Reverend Joe Tripp - eulogist officiating. Memorialization will be by cremation with McKinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton directing. 

Visitation will held from 6:00 to 8:00 p. m. Friday, May 12th at The McKinnie Funeral Home Chapel. 

Life began for Alicia on August 25, 1981 in Landstuhl, Germany to Mary Alice McKinnie.  She loved the lord, her family, giving to others and helping whenever she could.  She was a 1999 graduate of Marianna High School.  She was employed as a manager at McDonalds at the time of her passing on May 3, 2017.

She was preceded in death by her Grandfather, J. C. Marshall McKinnie; her Great Grandmothers, Betty Louise Dickson and Willie Bea Brock; Great Grandfathers, Lucious Dudley and Perry Dickson Sr; her Uncle, George McKinnie; and her Aunt, Caroline McKinnie Great Uncle Perry Dickson II.

She leaves behind to cherish her precious memories, 

Three Sons: Xavier McKinnie, Michael McKinnie and Lenaris McKinnie                       

One Daughter: Tanya McKinnie 

Her Mother: Mary Alice McKinnie

Three Brothers: DeAndre Armstrong, Neal Walker and Marshall Straight

One Sister: Jasmine Straight 

Grandmother: Elouise D. McKinnie

One Niece: Kagen Fleming 

Five Aunts: Michelle McKinnie, Sharon McKinnie, Maria McKinnie, Yvonne McKinnie (Jacob Sorey) and Betty McKinnie (Chris Joyner) uncles, cousins and friends

Earlie D. Jones

Acting Deacon Earlie D. Jones, age 80 of Graceville, Florida (Browntown Community) passed away Wednesday, February 8th at his residents.  

A graveside funeral service will be held 11 a.m. Saturday, February 18th at the St. Paul/New Bethel Cemetery in Campbellton, Florida with Pastor Gary Martin officiating and with Mckinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton directing. The family will receive friends from 5 to 7p.m. Friday February 17th at the Mckinnie Funeral Home Chapel located 5304 Bowden Hill Road, Campbellton, Florida.

He was born on August 20, 1936 to the late Ervin and Lizzy Jones in Gevena County Alabama. He grew up in Houston County Alabama and joined the Holy Temple Church where he served as acting Deacon, he was ready and willing to perform any duty the church required. 

He was a hard worker who held many different jobs (Farming, McRae Sawmill, and Florida DOT) to make sure his family was provided for. On December 12, 1960 he married Pearline Walker, and to this union ten children born. He was a loving husband and a great father.

He was preceded in death by His Parents: Ervin and Lizzy Jones; One Daughter: Jeanette; Nine Siblings: William, Way Frank, Coot, Ben King, Darrel, Albert, Anthony, Hubert, Robert and Louise West.

He leaves to treasure his memories:

His Children: Charles Jones (Cynthia) and Jacqueline Jones both of Graceville, FL, Belinda Lockhart (Forest) of Cottondale, FL, Samuel Jones of Marianna, FL

His Brother: Eugene Jones (Ola Mae) of Dothan, AL

His Grandchildren:  Emmanuel, Alexander, Timothy, Teresa, Issac, Desirae,David (Clara), & Shantee.

His Great-Grandchildren: Brayden & Jamison
