Davie Lee Dunn, II

Mr. Davie Lee Dunn, II, 63, a native of Richmond, Virginia passed away peacefully in Marianna, Florida.  Residing in the Sneads area the majority of his life, he retired as a Correctional Officer Sergeant with Apalachee Correctional Institution and was a member of Salem Wesleyan Church of Sneads, Florida.  He was proud to be an Honorary Member of the Sheriffs Boys Ranch and a member of the National Rifle Association.

Davie is survived by his loving wife, Patti Dunn of Sneads, Florida;  his mother and step-father, Deloris and Jim Mincey of Panama City, Florida;  his children, Victoria Martin and her husband Adam of Panama City, Florida;  Davie James (DJ) Dunn of Fountaine, Florida,  Rodney Dunn and his wife Brandi  of Burkburnette, Texas;  Daniel Dunn and his wife Christie of Leesburg, Virginia;  Donovan McClurg and his wife Mindy of Pace, FL.,  Larry Fickett, Jr of Enterprise, AL.;  Ray Fickett and his wife Kristine of Dothan, AL.;  Melissa Fickett and her husband Richard of Oaklyn, New Jersey; and David Ammons of Sneads, Florida;  his best friend and brother, Rickey Carlton and his wife Annette of Lakeland, Florida, and several other brothers and sisters;  also fifteen grandchildren and one great  grandchild.

Visitation with the family will take place Monday April 17, 2017, from 6:00 till 8:00 PM CDT, at Salem Wesleyan Church.  Funeral Service will commence Tuesday, April 18, 2017, at 11:00 AM CDT, also at the Salem Wesleyan Church followed by Committal and Interment Service at Dykes Cemetery.

David Earl McDaniel

David Earl McDaniel born April 16, 1952 passed away peacefully on April 5, 2017 at Flowers Hospital after battling an extended illness. David was survived by his wife, Marsha McDaniel, daughter, Virginia Ruth McDaniel, mother, Faye McDaniel, sister, Connie Melzer and her husband, Dr. James Melzer. The viewing will be at Sneads First Baptist Church on Sunday, April 9 2017 at 2 PM CDT. Services will follow at 3 PM CDT. David was also blessed with a multitude of nieces and nephews and other loving family and friends. Mr. McDaniel happily served the Jackson County school system as a teacher for a faithful 35 years. He was involved heavily in mission work with the community and was a dedicated RA leader for many years. David loved to fish, enjoyed sports, and David loved God, his family, and his community. Mr. McDaniel had a compassion for helping young people. Contributions can be made in memory of David to the Florida Baptist Children’s Home 8415 Buck Lake Rd, Tallahassee FL, 32308. Otha Winton Rowan, Jr.

Mr. Otha Winton Rowan, Jr., 81, a native of Greensboro, Florida, residing in Chattahoochee, Florida, since 1961, was a member of the First Baptist Church in Chattahoochee.  He drove a Pulpwood truck and had owned a total of four Gasoline Service Stations during his lifetime.  He loved fishing and anyone who knew “O. W.” was familiar with his humorous stories, many jokes and that he could converse so good with people that he never met a stranger.

“O. W.” is survived by his wife, Bernice Lee Whitten Rowan of Chattahoochee, Florida; his daughter, Sandra Rowan Cook and her husband John of Burkesville, Kentucky; six grandchildren, Brian Beauchamp, Ashley Rowan, Brooke McIntosh, Jessie Green, Levi Roberts and Holly Clere and also five great grandchildren.  O W was preceded in death by his daughter, Cindy Rowan Roberts and a brother, Mitch Rowan.

Visitation with the family will take place at Lanier-Andler Funeral Home in Sneads, Florida, Tuesday, April 4, 2017, from 6:00 till 8:00 PM EST.  Funeral Services are to commence Wednesday, April 5, 2017, 3:00 PM EST, at First Baptist Church in Chattahoochee, Florida, followed by Committal and Interment Service at Providence Baptist Church Cemetery, Greensboro, Florida.  In lieu of flowers, those wishing may send a donation to The American Cancer Society 2012-A Lisenby Avenue Panama City, FL  32405

Theo Michael Young

Mr. Theo Michael Young, 50, of Sneads, Florida, passed away Monday, March 27, 2017, in Tallahassee, Florida.  He had lived in Sneads for most of his life.  Theo loved his family and loved to fish.  He was of the Baptist faith.  Theo will be missed deeply by his family and the friends he has known through the years.

Theo is survived by a sister, Tammy Centerfitt of Cordell, GA; two brothers, Bill Houghtaling of Clewiston, FL and Marvin Young of Sneads, FL; and several nieces and nephews.

Theo was preceded in death by his loving parents Harry and Martha Ann Young.

Memorial services will be planned and announced at a later date.
