Raymond A. Frederick

Mr. Raymond A. Frederick, 85, a native of Concord, Massachusetts and 14 year resident of Jackson County, Florida passed away on June 7, 2017. “Ray” was a Veteran of the U. S. Navy, a Police Officer in St. Augustine and Jacksonville, a Beverage Agent for the State of Florida, a retired Special Agent and Polygraph Operator from FDLE.  He was an avid golfer, enjoyed reading, going to the library and playing poker in Ebro and Biloxi.

Raymond is survived by his precious wife of 34 years, Sara Ray Frederick of Marianna, Florida; three sisters in law, Inett Kite, Carlyon Hodges and Janice Cloud; ten nieces, Karen, Amy, Kaitlan, Jordan, Kearston, Lillie, Ava, Laci, Leigha, Lana; and eight nephews, Jay, Jason, Mark, Kyle, Nick, Ryan, Austin and Kade.

 Visitation with the family will be Friday, June 9, 2017 from 5:00 until 7:00 PM CDT, at Lanier-Andler Funeral Home in Sneads, Florida.  Funeral Services will be at Lanier-Andler Funeral Home Chapel, Saturday, June 10, 2017 at 11:00 AM CDT, followed by interment at Shady Grove Cemetery in Grand Ridge, Florida. 

The American Legion Post #241 will perform full military honors.

Linda M. Jackson

Mrs. Linda M. Jackson, 80, of Grand Ridge, Florida, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 4, 2017. 

Linda was preceded in death by her husband Charles E. Jackson; a daughter, Nancy Ranew; her parents, Julian and Eunice Pope; two sisters, Ida Cook and Una Basford; four brothers, Bryan Pope, Julian W. Pope, Paul Pope and Rhoderick Pope.  She is survived by three daughters, Beth Newsome (Clifford), Karen Byrd (Tommy), Angela Southwell (Wayne); three sons, Michael Jackson (Judy), John D. Jackson (Debbie) and Kevin Jackson; three sisters, Jo Pinyan, Olivia Beauchamp, and Suzanne Smith; one brother, C. K. Pope; 17 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren.

Visitation with the family will be one hour prior to Funeral Services on Wednesday, June 7, 2017 from 1:00 PM until 2:00 PM CDT at Lanier – Andler Funeral Home Chapel.  Funeral Services will begin at 2:00 PM CDT with Rev. Gary Gable officiating.  Interment will be at Cow Pen Pond Cemetery in Grand Ridge, FL.

Donna Brown Barineau

Donna Brown Barineau, 70, born in Marianna, Florida, and living in Sneads, Florida all her life, passed away Sunday, May 28, 2017, at her home in Sneads, Florida, after a lengthy illness. She was a retired Secretary with the State of Florida, and a member of the First Baptist Church in Sneads, Florida.

Donna was very much loved by her surviving sisters, Marilyn Barrett of Sneads and Candace Burch and husband Charles of Sneads.  Also three nephews and one niece.

The family would like those wishing, in lieu of flowers, please send donations to the Sneads First Baptist Church in Sneads, Florida.

Memorial Services are planned for Wednesday, May 31, 2017, from 4:00 till 7:00 PM CST, at the home of Candace Burch, 2161 River Road, Sneads, Florida,  PH 850-593-6408.

Jessie L. Griffin

Mr. Jessie L. Griffin, age 43 of Marianna, Florida passed away on May 17, 2017 in Marianna, Florida.  Jessie was born in Tallahassee, Florida on July 25, 1973.  He was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and enjoyed attending services there.  Jessie enjoyed cooking for his family and genuinely loved life.  He also enjoyed tinkering and fixing things as well as tending to his garden. 

Jessie is survived by one aunt, Margie May of Cypress, FL; three uncles, Johnny Earl McDaniel of Sneads, Florida, Herschel McDaniel of Dickerson, Texas and Cecil Griffin of Georgia as well as many cousins.

Jessie was preceded in death by his parents Edgar G. and Nellie Griffin.

Memorial Service will be held Thursday, June 1, 2017 at 5:00 PM CDT at Lanier-Andler Funeral Home Chapel in Sneads, FL with Rev. John Miles officiating.
