Jimmy Wayne Cox

Jimmy Wayne Cox, 60, passed away at his home in Sneads, Florida on Sunday, October 15, 2017.  Coming from Climax, Georgia Jimmy had lived in Sneads for the past two years. Jimmy was a retired farmer and loved fishing, cooking and having fish fry’s, and spending time with his family especially his precious grandchildren. 

Jimmy is survived by his two daughters, Barbara Wells and Jacqueline Herrera both of Bainbridge, GA; one son, Marcus Cox (Renee) of Sneads, FL; his mother, Bessie Hand of Bainbridge, GA; three sisters, Linda Johnson of Savannah, GA, Jolene Knight of Dothan, AL and Brenda Philips of Savannah, GA; two brothers, Cecil Cox of Savannah, GA and Ben Cox of Augusta, GA; eleven grandchildren and three great-grandchildren.

Lanier-Andler Funeral Home of Sneads, Florida is in charge of arrangements.  PH 850-593-9900.

 

James Calvin Andrews

Mr. James Calvin Andrews, age 67, lifelong resident of Chattahoochee, Florida, passed away peacefully at his home with his loving wife present with him.  He attended the First United Methodist Church in Chattahoochee and was an avid FSU Seminole Fan.  He had retired as a Vocational Counselor with the Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee. 

Calvin is survived by his wife of twenty-nine years, Kathryn Morgan Andrews;  his faithful dog, Spanky;  a sister, Janet Andrews (Dilip) of New Mexico;  his niece, Danielle Ronis and nephew, Zakary Ronis (Christina).  He was preceded in death by his father, James Patrick Andrews and his mother, Mildred Hewett Andrews McClure (Mac).

Graveside Services were held at 10:00 AM EDT on Monday, October 16, 2017, at Dykes Cemetery in Sneads, Florida.  Visitation immediately followed at the First United Methodist Church in Chattahoochee after which there was a lunch for the family in the Fellowship Hall furnished by their church family ladies. 

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to First United Methodist Church Operating Budget, 18 West Marion St., Chattahoochee, Florida 32324.

William Thomas Waldroff

William Thomas Waldroff, age 45, of Sneads, Florida, passed away Monday, October 2, 2017. 

William was a loving father who lived to raise his children.  He enjoyed fishing, tinkering with automobiles, and watching television.

William was preceded in death by his father Buford Waldroff. 

William is survived by one daughter, Angel Waldroff of Gainesville, FL; one son, William “Little Will” Waldroff of Sneads, FL; his mother, Mattie Gertrude Brown of Sneads, FL; two sisters, Naomi (Jim) Brady of Newton, AL and Sonya (Rick) Braswell of Sneads, FL; two brothers, Vincent (Jesse) Byrd of Sneads, FL and Tommy (Karen) Byrd of Grand Ridge, FL; and numerous nieces and nephews.  William will be missed by his family and his friends.  The family will gather at Ms. Mattie Brown’s home at 1915 Gloster Avenue in Sneads, Florida.  Visits are welcomed.

Visitation with the family and friends will take place prior to Funeral Services from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM CDT on Thursday, October 5, 2017, with Funeral Services beginning at 11:00 AM CDT at Lanier-Andler Funeral Home Chapel in Sneads, Florida with Rev. Jimmy Wright officiating.  Interment Services will be held privately with the family.

Carl Edward Edenfield

Mr. Carl Edward Edenfield, 71, of Apple Valley, California passed from this life peacefully with his loving wife at his side.  He was born on January 22, 1946 in Jackson County, Florida to the late Mack and Dosha (Dudley) Edenfield.

Carl was a resident of Virginia Beach, Virginia for many years before moving to Apple Valley, California in 2016.  He was a United States Navy veteran serving in the Vietnam Conflict.  After his graduation from Grand Ridge High School in 1964 he joined the United States Navy and began his dedicated work for our country.  During this time, he served tours of duty on the US Coral Sea, US Kennedy, US Eisenhower and US Saratoga with Squadrons VF151, VF32, VF143, and VF121.  After twenty-four and a half years of dedication to the US Navy, he retired on August 25, 1988.

He is preceded in death by five brothers; Raymond, Howard, Bull, Donald and Lee Edenfield; five sisters, Irene Mumford, Voncile Parker, Laverne Edenfield, Cawien Wilson and Gwen Blocker; and his mother in law Laura Maucieri.

Carl is survived by his loving wife of 48 years, Dusty Lee Edenfield; two sons, Michael Edward Edenfield and wife Lynn of Virginia Beach, VA and Brent Allen Edenfield and Morgan of Worcester, MA; four grandchildren Zachery Dove-Brown, Brandon Edenfield, Marley Edenfield and Olivia Edenfield all of Virginia Beach, VA; one brother, Ronald Edenfield and wife Doris of Grand Ridge, FL; two sisters, Maxine Morris and husband “Pug” of Cottondale, FL and Ima Jean Banks and husband Billy of Grand Ridge, FL; a special sister in law Nancy Tracy of Apple Valley, CA and many nieces and nephews.

Arrangements to be announced at a later date.
