Sarah Doris Gilbert

Sarah Doris Gilbert age 92 of Campbellton, passed away on Friday, March 22, 2019 in Marianna. Sarah was born on April 2, 1926 in Campbellton to the late William Pat and Sallie Elizabeth Peacock Gilbert.  She was a native of this area and a member of the Campbellton First Baptist Church. Sarah was an educator, business lady, and a cattle farmer. She  was a teacher by day in Jackson county and helped build Gilbert Hotel that she ran at night. Sarah taught school for 40 plus years in Jackson County, her last years being in Marianna. She also was a wedding planner in her spare time.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Sarah is survived by many cousins, friends, relatives, the citizens of Campbellton community, and members for Campbellton First Baptist Church.
Gravesides services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, March 25, 2019 at Campbellton First Baptist Church Cemetery.
The family would like to say a special thank you to Grandview Assistant Living for their outstanding care and love the gave Sarah.

Richard Eugene Moody

Richard Eugene Moody age 45 of Alford passed away on Wednesday, March 13, 2019 in Marinna.

Richard was a native of Alford born on December 21, 1973 to the late Earl and Deborah Moody. He worked several years in fast food, loved working for Williams Bait Farm, and also worked for Betty Hatcher for many years. Richard enjoyed spending time with family, friends, and with his dog.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his Aunt Janice Rotenberry. Richard is survived by his brother Earl Moody, sisters Carrie Hill, Darlene Butler, and Tracy Ritter Curlee, nephews Nicholas Moody, Tyler Moody, nieces Sarah Moody, and Annabelle Moody, second momma Judy Williams. Richard is also survived by many special family and friends.

A Celebration of Life service for Richard will be held at 5:00 P.M., on Saturday, March 16, 2019 in the Marianna Funeral Home with Judy Williams and Willie Gay officiating. Family will receive friends from 4:00 P.M. until time of service.

James E. Edenfield

James E. Edenfield age 78 of Gaffney, SC passed away on Sunday, March 10, 2019.  James was a native of Florida born on April 24, 1940 to the late Elton and Dora Bell Edenfield. He loved preaching and had served many years as a pastor. James enjoyed fishing, sports, wood working, but most of all he loved spending time with his children, grandchildren who he loved dearly. James truly loved people.

He was preceded in death by his parents, and his half brother Michael Edenfield. 

James is survived by his loving wife of 25 years, Josephine Edenfield, children Don Edenfield of Panama City, FL, Dallas Edenfield (Brandi) of Lake City, Fl, Mikki Bates (Gary) of Michigan, Kelly Elmore (Wayne)of Marianna, step-daughter Marcia Hollingsworth (Regi), South Carolina, step-daughter Rhonda Phillips (Ronny) of South Carolina, sisters JoAnn McCoy of Chattahoochee, FL and Janice Bush of Chipley, 15 grandchildren, 27 great grandchildren, and 4 great - great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life service for James will be held at 2:00 PM on Friday, March 15, 2019 in the Marianna Chapel Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Fussell officiating. Family will receive friends from 1:00 P.M. until time of service.
