Mancil O. Moody

Mancil O. Moody 76, of Cypress, FL passed on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at his residence. He was born on December 24,1942 in Cypress, FL, where he was raised. He became a glazer in the glass profession, a job he truly loved. He later became a truck driver, loving the open road and seeing the country.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Thornton and Ethel (Alday) Moody; three brothers, Albert, Ander Lee, and, Clayton Blackmon; and one sister, Ruby Gelzer. He is survived by his three daughters, Donna Sue Phillips and husband, Wendell, of Newton, GA, Angela Baldwin-Smith, and, Dawn Tucker of Altha, FL; two sons, John Moody of  Altha, FL, Shawn Moody and wife, Rhoda, of Cypress, FL; two brothers, Thornton Moody and wife, Debbie of Dothan, AL, and Dwight Moody of Cypress, FL. He is also survived by 15 grandchildren, Shannon Long and husband, Trent, of Bainbridge, GA, Tiffany Phillips of Bainbridge, GA, Triniti Baldwin and Tessa Smith of Dothan, AL, Beth Shelton and husband, Gregory, of Altha, FL, Amanda and Danielle Tucker of Altha, FL, Dustin, Taylor, and Jody Moody from Altha, FL, Chad Lawless of Portage, Wisconsin, Garrett, Austin, Tucker, and, Alaina Moody from Cypress FL. He also has several great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and friends.  

Our dad was a man that was very proud of his family, and loved us all very much, as we loved him so very much. He will be missed beyond words. No public services have been planned at this time. James & Sikes Funeral Home Maddox Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
