Ida Mae Speights Ida Mae Speights

Sis. Ida Mae Speights age 83 of Chattahoochee, Florida passed away Friday December 21, 2018 at the Signature Healthcare at the Courtyard in Marianna, FL. 

Funeral services will be held 11a.m. Friday December 28th at Holy Neck Missionary Baptist Church located 3395 cemetery lane Campbellton, FL with the Rev. Richard Peterson Sr. (Pastor), Rev. Simon Simmons, Elder Bernard White, Minister Wayne Gregory and Rev Carlton Cotton-Eulogist officiating. Interment will follow in the church cemetery with Mckinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL directing. 

A public viewing will be held from 4 to 6p.m. Thursday December 27th at Mckinnie Funeral Home Chapel located 5304 Bowden Hill Road, Campbellton, FL. Sis. Speights will lie in state at the church one prior to the service on Friday. 

Sister Ida Mae Speights was born September 29, 1935 in Campbellton, Florida to the late Lonnie and Leila Allen. She accepted Christ as her personal savior early in life at Holy Neck Missionary Baptist Church in Campbellton, FL. She later moved and became a faithful member of New Zion Baptist Church in Chattahoochee, FL. under the late Reverend O. W. Waddell. Currently Reverend Simon Simmons is the senior pastor. 

She retired from Florida State Hospital in Chattahoochee, Florida with over 30 years of service as a Dietician. 

She was preceded in death by her loving parents, three brothers and four sisters.

She leaves to cherish her memory her husband of 35 years: Willie Lee Speights, Jr.; Four daughters: Ira Brown of Ozark, Alabama, Betty Johnson of Marianna, Florida, Angela (Bernard) Owens of Augusta, GA, and Ella Brown of Marianna, FL; Four sisters: Emma Tillman and Louvina (Edward) Cotton both of Marianna, FL, Louise (Joe) Pickett of Campbellton, FL, and Claddie (Edward) Gilbert of Malone, FL; One brother-in-law: Herman (Margianna) Speights; Sister-in-law: Louise Speights of St. Petersburg, FL; 11 grandchildren, 9 great-grandchildren and a host of nephews, nieces and cousins.
