Linda Gail Rogers Osborne Linda Gail Rogers Osborne

Linda Gail Rogers Osborne, age 69 of Greenwood, went to be with our Lord on April 19th, 2018 at her home in Greenwood, Florida.

Linda (Linda O., Tootie) was born on February 7, 1949 in Jackson County to William Rogers and Marguerite Davis.  Linda was a loving Moma, Maw-Maw, Sister, Aunt, Niece and Cousin.  She was a free spirit and had a smile that would light up any room.  Linda loved to fish, listen to music and dance.  She was a loyal and loving friend to many.

Linda is preceded in death by her parents William Rogers and Marguerite Childers (Davis).  She is also preceded in death by her granny, Martha Davis, brother Edward “Smiley” Rogers and granddaughter, Candi Michelle Douglas.

She is survived by her daughters Tammy Lewis of Cottonwood, Alabama; Tracy Purvis of Panama City, Florida; Wenonah “Paula” Sorrell of Sneads, Florida; Angela Purvis Gilmore of Compass Lake, Florida; Marian McDaniel and husband Glenn of Tallahassee, Florida; and son, Kenneth Sampson and wife Angel of Jacksonville, Florida; Brother, Billy Joe Rogers of Lakeland, Florida; Sister, Ann Holman of Montgomery, Alabama.  18 Grandchildren, 12 Great Grandchildren, Nieces, nephew, and cousins.

A time of remembrance and celebration of Linda’s life will be held on Friday, May 4th, 2018 at 2:00 pm at the Greenwood United Methodist Church in Greenwood, Florida with Kenneth Sampson officiating.  Interment of the cremains will follow in the church cemetery with arrangements entrusted to the caring staff of Peoples Funeral Home in Marianna, Florida.
