Marion F. Spates Allen

Mrs. Marion F. Spates Allen, known as “It,” of Bascom, FL, transitioned from life temporal to life eternal on April 10, 2018 in Southeast Alabama Medical Center in Dothan, AL.

She was a member of the New Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church.

She was educated in the Jackson County School System and retired from Sunland A.P.D. with 33 years of service.

Funeral service will be held Tuesday, April 17, 2018 at 2:00 P.M. at New Liberty Hill Missionary Baptist Church 5239 Liberty Hill Road Bascom, FL 32426 with Rev. Richard D. Wilson, Rev. Samuel Everett, Rev. Timothy L. Allen, Rev. LeRoy McLeroy and Elder Dr. Nelson D. Wilson, Pastor, Officiating.

Interment will be in the church cemetery.

Vann Funeral Home will be in charge of the service.

The viewing will be held Monday, April 16, 2018 from 2:00 P.M. to 6:00 .M. at Vann Funeral Home.

Mrs. Allen will lie in repose at the church from 1:00 P.M. until time for the service.

She leaves a lifetime of precious memories, a loving and devoted family:

Husband: Donald Ray Allen Sr., Bascom, FL

One Son: Donald Ray Allen Jr., of Bascom, FL

Two Granddaughters: Lilianna and Mya Allen

Brothers: Johnny Spates (Sandra) of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; Ira Spates of Palm Coast, FL; Stephen Spates of Marianna, FL and Loucious Spates (Bonnie) of Greenwood, FL

Sisters: Bobbie Benboe of Campbellton, FL; Mildred McLeroy (Rev. LeRoy McLeroy) and Betty Gould, both of Bascom, FL; Catherine Spates and Shirley Spates, both of Tallahassee, FL

Five Brothers-in-Law: Henry, Timothy, Gregory, Thuch Henry and Bill Allen

Four Sisters-in-Law: Diane Johnson, Joanne, Patricia and Princess Allen

Special Nephews: Daryl Hunter and Kagen Hearns

And a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and many dear friends
