Mrs. Elsie Mae Dawsey age 78 of Bascom, FL passed away Saturday December 30th at Jackson Hospital Marianna, FL.

Funeral services were held 1:30 p.m. Saturday January 6th at the Snowhill A.M.E Church located 5695 Snow Hill Rd Malone, FL with Pastor Larry Brown, and Reverends Dr. Will Daniels, Michael Thomas and Dennis Libert officiating Interment followed in the church cemetery with Mckinnie Funeral Home of Campbellton, FL directing. 

Elsie Mae Dawsey was born June 13, 1939 in Houston County, Alabama to the late Glister and Arilla Collins. She was of the Methodist Faith and a member of Snowhill A.M.E. Church in Malone, FL. 

She faithfully served on the trustee board and member of the missionary society and served as the church custodian for many years.

She was preceded in death by her parents: Glister and Arilla Collins;

Her Husband: Matthew Dawsey Sr. 

Two Sisters: Laura Mae Nix and Luevina Thurman.

Four Brothers: Glister Collins, Jr., Raymond Collins, Roy Allen Collins and Nathaniel Collins.

She leaves to cherish her Precious Memory:

One Son: Matthew Dawsey Jr., of Malone, FL

One Grandchild: LaNiekqua Dawsey of Ft. Lauderdale, FL

Two great grandchildren: Daniel Brown and Jaziyah Dawsey both of Ft. Lauderdale, FL

One Brother: Billy Collins of Bascom, FL

One Devoted Niece: Ruby Harris of Dothan, AL

One God Sister: Amanda Williams of Malone, FL

Four Brothers in Law: Isaiah Dawsey and Mark Dawsey (Daisy) both of Palmetto, FL

Zachariah Dawsey (Nell) of Gordon, AL and Nehemiah Dawsey of Malone, FL

Three Sisters in Law: Mozelle Whitehurst (Ruben) of Dothan, AL, Zera Collins of Port St. Lucie,FL and  Velma Collins of Ft. Lauderdale, FL and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
