Clint Watson promoted to Marianna Fire Marshall Featured

Marianna Fire Chief Nicky Lovett announced Tuesday the promotion of Lieutenant Clint Watson to Fire Marshall for the city of Marianna.

Watson has been with the department five years.  He completed fire training at Chipola College and went through EMS training at Washington Holmes Vo-Tech.

In an earlier interview with Clinton he said of his decision to go into this line of work, “My granddad Bill Stobbs was fire chief in Graceville.  I enjoy the people more than anything, my coworkers and just working with the community.  I worked in retail before this for 15 years and that’s what I enjoyed about retail was the people.  I left there and came to do this job and I like helping people just like in retail.”

Clinton is married to Valerie Watson and they have one son Brandon Watson.  Brandon attends Cottondale High School.

About his new position, Watson says, “I appreciate the opportunity and look forward to the challenge of the new position and serving the community.”
