Chuck Nolen inducted into FBLA Hall of Fame

Chuck Nolen inducted into FBLA Hall of Fame

Chuck Nolen has been teaching for 44 years and has spent most of those years helping and assisting students outside the classroom.  Most recently, he has been involved with FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America) and has been the advisor for students at Grand Ridge School for the last several years.

In March, Nolen and his students in FBLA attended the state conference in Orlando but it wasn’t just the students who brought home awards and honors.  Chuck Nolen was inducted into the FBLA Hall of Fame. Nolen teaches Business keyboarding and computer applications at Grand Ridge.

Abigail Hicks of Grand Ridge School won second place in Career Exploration.  Hicks was one of 100 students in the competition.

Kennady Harrell placed eighth at State in Public Speaking out of approximately 100 students competing.

Twelve students attended the State FBLA convention in March of this year. Hicks, Kennady, and Nolen were recently recognized at the Jackson County School Board workshop for their achievements, along with all the FBLA students attending.
