Patrick Smith’s Florida is A Land Remembered---Thursday, March 28, 7:00 p.m.--- Jackson County Extension Services Center, 2741 Penn Avenue, Marianna. Few, if any, books have captured the spirit and colorful history of Florida as Patrick Smith’s beloved novel, A Land Remembered. Get to know the author and his work as his son, Rick, takes the stage to delight audiences with a stunning multimedia show about his father and the extraordinary experiences which enabled him to write timeless stories about Florida and its inhabitants. Astronomy for Everyone: Size and Scale of the Universe---7:00 p.m.---Jackson County Public Library, 2929 Green Street, Marianna. Join us for this family-friendly presentation, learning more about the beauty and harmony of the universe. Astronomy for Everyone: Size and Scale of the Universe explores the universe from the very small to the very large. It’s a virtual journey throughout the cosmos. Following the presentation, the audience will go outdoors to view the rings of Saturn, craters on the moon, etc. (weather permitting) through a powerful, hand-crafted telescope.
