The month of October is Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the annual Chipola Breast Cancer Awareness Symposium is set for 5:30 PM, Thursday, October 17th, at the Assembly of God District Activity Center, 4792 Highway 90, East of Marianna. This year's theme perpetuates the three virtues of faith, hope, and love for survivors. This year's program speakers are Kirby I. Bland, M.D., Senior Advisor to the Director of the UAB Comprehensive Cancer Center, Ricky P. Leff, M.D., F.A.C.O.G. Obstetrics / Gynecology Women's Healthcare of the Panhandle, and Teresa Goodpaster, M.D. - General Surgery - Chipola Surgical Associates.
