NOTICE OF SPECIAL MEETING AND ATTORNEY-CLIENT EXECUTIVE SESSION
The Jackson County Commission will conduct a Special Meeting and an Attorney-Client Executive Session December 16, 2016 at 9:00 AM in the County Commission Chambers located at 2864 Madison Street, Marianna, Florida to discuss litigation strategy and settlement negotiations.
After the Special Meeting is convened the Board will go into closed session pursuant to Section 286.011(8), Florida Statutes. The subject matter of the executive session is an attorney update in the following matter:  Marilyn Lipford v. Jackson County Board of Commissioners, N.D. Fla. Tallahassee Div. Case No. 4:16-cv- 00635-RH-CAS.
The discussions in this session shall be confined to settlement negotiations and litigation strategy. The session will be recorded by a certified court reporter. The meeting will last approximately 1 hour and will be attended by Chairman Eric Hill, Commissioner Willie Spires, Commissioner Clint Pate, Commissioner Chuck Lockey, Commissioner Jim Peacock, Interim County Administrator Pamela Pichard, County Attorney Michelle Jordan, special counsel for the Board Matthew Hawk, and a certified court reporter.
Following the closed session, the Board will reconvene in open session in the Board Chambers so that the Chair may announce the termination of the executive session.  If you have any questions, please contact the Assistant to the Administrator at (850) 482-9633.
