Jackson County Teacher Of The Year

Congratulations to our district employees of the year, and a huge thanks to all of you who came to the reception and recognition program to support your co-workers, making this year's event the most well attended in years.

Deeanna Golden, Kindergarten Teacher at Golson Elementary School, was named our Outstanding Teacher of the Year. She started her teaching career at Grand Ridge School in August of 1990 and has been teaching Kindergarten at Golson Elementary since August of 1991.

Matthew Ellsworth, Math Teacher at Marianna Middle School, was named our Oustanding Rookie Teacher of the Year. He started as a Paraprofessional at Jackson Alternative School in October of 2013, and has been teaching at Marianna MIddle School since January of 2014.

Suzanne Griffin, Bookkeeper at Marianna High School, was named our Outstanding School Related Employee of the Year. She started as a Paraprofessional at Marianna High School in August of 1991 before becoming the Bookkeeper in July of 2001.

Thanks to all of you for how you do your jobs! It takes all of us, no matter what our positions are, to make our school system the best it can be.
