Alford Community Health Clinic (ACHC) will be open from 10 AM until the last patient is seen, Saturday, June 24.  ACHC is a free clinic for patients who do not have medical insurance and who meet federal income guidelines.  The Clinic is staffed by qualified physicians, nurses and courteous assistants dedicated to providing quality health care to those with short-term illnesses, as well as chronic conditions. Appointments are available by telephoning 850-209-5501, and walk-ins are always welcome. All patients are urged to sign-in before 11:00 AM. Alford Community Health Clinic is located two blocks east of Hwy 231 in Alford, at 1770 Carolina Street.

Fireworks celebration. The City of Marianna and Main Street Marianna would like to invite you to the seventh annual Fourth of July Fireworks celebration on Monday, July 3, 2017 in downtown Marianna! The fireworks will be launched downtown from behind Mowrey Elevator at dark (8:30 PM). There are many great viewing sites, but the prime viewing location is Madison Street Park, located at 2884 Madison Street. Make plans to come downtown early, eat at our local restaurants and food vendors, and let the children play in the splashpads.There will be food and arts & crafts vendors set up at Madison Street Park at 1:30 PM. There will be live entertainment by the band “Dickey Merritt and the Original Bama Jam” starting at 4:30 PM.  Don’t forget your lawn chair!Hope to see you there! The parade starts at 9:00am winding our way over to our Community Park. Once at the park we will have a bouncy house water-slide, Free Hot Dogs and watermelon for everyone and live music by the Sheila Smith Trio. Survivors will be provided an atmosphere that helps them gain an understanding about sexual assault and how it has affected their lives. This group will create an empowering environment where participants can learn new coping skills, identify personal goals and build relationships. Cover Crop Tour Helps Florida Ag Producers Build Soil Health -  July 14, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. at NRCS Brooksville Plant Material Center, 14119 Broad Street, Brooksville, Fla. 34601. Farmers, ranchers and researchers invited.  Free tour showcases performance of 17 summer cover crop species in west central Florida and tests of five summer cover crop species to improve soil health. Learn evaluation results for different cover crop seed sources and planting recommendations.
